Oxnard— G’Ma’s Crew was doing what it does best, Sunday, January 19, cooking a great breakfast, as hungry people came streaming through the door at the Eagle’s Oxnard Lodge.
THE crew arrived early, and all the work was divided equally.
“We love working in the kitchen,” Madame Auxiliary President Michele Two-Coats said. “We also have new members.”
They had their traditional Eagle’s Breakfast menu, with all the sides. “Biscuits, gravy, toast, home fries, hash browns, sausage, bacon, you name it, it’s a good meal, and there’s coffee too.”
She said the proceeds from Breakfast on the third Sunday of the month go into the charitable fund.
“All this money goes into one bucket, and then all the money gets divided out. We never have a problem raising money for Diabetes, but sometimes, for spinal cords, we have a little trouble raising money for that charity,” she said. “If there isn’t a chairman, they’re going to get a slice of the pie.”
