Channel Islands--In his August 8 message to the community, Harbor Director Michael Tripp hopes everyone is in good health and high spirits and loves updating people about great Harbor events and activities.
CI WOMEN’S SAILING ASSOCIATION SAIL DAY ON MYSTIC WHALER
“The Channel Islands Women’s Sailing Association hosted girls ages 9-14 Saturday, August 14, to enjoy a full day’s programming about “Women and Sailing Across the Ages,” he said. “The event includes sailing aboard the tall ship Mystic Whaler at no charge to a maximum of 40 girls who might not have an opportunity to experience sailing. Each girl brought one accompanying adult if desired.”
The Channel Islands Women’s Sailing Association partnered with the Channel Islands Maritime Museum, Central Coast Ocean Adventures Foundation, and the Channel Islands Yacht Club to offer the program and Tripp commends all the partnering organizations for offering the valuable program.
