Channel Islands—As 2025 winds down to 2026, the incredible finds were stacked high at the Channel Islands Farmers’ Market Sunday, December 21.

Yvette Balzano operates Divine Health Human Grade Fresh Pet Food, and she said canned commercial dog food has no vitamins, minerals, or nutrients.
“They came up with commercial dog food and dry dog food during wartime, while everyone was away,” she said. “Food became scarce, so the dog food industry sprayed on chemicals so the dog can enjoy it. ”Upgraded pet foods are not organic, and charge an arm and a leg, and it costs $600 a month to feed one pet.
“We are only about $200 a month,” she said. “There is a huge price difference.”
Yvette always wants healthy dogs and cats.
It all started when she rescued an unhealthy Pit Bull named Gaia with bad hips, a torn meniscus and a host of other problems. “I’m a whole food nutritionist, and I have a torn meniscus, like my dog, and I’ve kept my meniscus at bay for about 20 years, with no surgery.”
