Ventura—The Board of Supervisors, during its Tuesday, January 14 meeting, unanimously appointed Lorena Hernandez and Anita Navarro as alternate members of the Local Planning Council of Ventura County.
THE Local Planning Council of Ventura County acts as the united voice for early care and education in Ventura County and is comprised of 25 members appointed by the County Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Supervisors.
Supervisor Kelly Long introduced the item and thanked the duo for their service.
“They volunteer their time, and I appreciate it very much,” she said.
Supervisor Janice Parvin said the terms will end on June 1, 2026.
“Miss Hernandez is a resource parent, and Miss Navarro brings experience in childcare services,” Parvin said.
