Male faces a firearm charge

Oxnard—At 10:10 p.m., Saturday, June 27, Oxnard Police officers attempted to contact two persons in the 2700 block of Smoky Mountain Drive (Vineyard Park).

BOTH individuals fled from the officers; one person fell and was subsequently contacted by the officers. This person, a male juvenile, possessed a loaded 9mm firearm. This male juvenile was arrested for firearms-related charges and lodged at the Ventura County Juvenile Justice Center.
