Oxnard - On Saturday, August 10, the South Oxnard Public Library welcomed Magician Shawn McMaster, who delighted the audience with a few tricks while also sharing some secrets and sparking their interest in the art of becoming a magician.
THE Prestidigitator showed mind-blowing tricks, like putting a torn napkin back together, asking audience members to pick a hidden card without seeing it, accurately telling everyone what card it was, and other tricks that amazed children of all ages.
Children’s Librarian Krista Ward-Sell said McMaster the Magic Show grandly closed out the Library’s Summer Reading Program.
“This is a thank you to the community for participating and getting the kids to read,” she said. “We usually have something like this to close out the Summer Reading Program just so the community can enjoy it. Magic Shows are always fun and popular.”

She adores seeing all the kids having a great time at the Library.
“Who doesn’t like that,” she asked. “It’s great fun.”
