Ventura--The featured cats at Cassie’s Cats and Kittens this month are Simba and Kiki, a pair of friendly all-black cats ready to meet and love their new families.

Jennifer Thompson said Kiki and Simba arrived at the lounge about a month ago.
“They came to us from Los Angeles from a group that tries to spay and neuter Feral Cats and outside cats,” she said. “When they find friendly cats or kittens, they won’t release them; they try to get them into a foster home, so Kiki and Simba were both in a foster home for a while. As they got a little bit older and they weren’t getting adopted, the group moved them over to us to try and find them a foster home.”
Jennifer said the cats are around 10 months old, and since they’re both black, often they get overlooked in favor of orange or Calico cats.
“These two, Kiki and Simba, are brother and sister and are every positive adjective you can apply,” she said. “They’re loving, playful; they’re athletic, confident, wonderful cats. They are brother and sister, but they do not have to be adopted together. Sometimes people think…
