Oxnard—The City Council, Thursday, July 30, presented a commendation to Naval Base Ventura County, which was involved with America 250.
AS the Color Guard came up to the dais, Mayor Luis McArthur said the City of Oxnard expresses appreciation to the Color Guard at Naval Base Ventura County for its significant contribution on July 3 at Plaza Park.
“Whereas the Color Guard displayed the National Flag with formal precision, and dynamic choreography to inaugurate the America 250 Event and showed community pride,” he said.
“Their professionalism and precise synchronization contributed to my hosting an exemplary celebration to allow Oxnard to commemorate the America 250 Milestone. This event highlighted America’s unique military heritage and diversity through culturally significant displays, music, culinary offerings, and cultural dances.”
