Officers Memorialized

Oxnard—The Oxnard Police Department held its 27th Annual Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, May 13, honoring those who died in the line of duty. Rabbi Dove Muchnik, from Chabad of Oxnard, called on those in attendance to pay tribute to the City’s fallen Officers.

"IMMORTALIZE those whose lives are dedicated to preserving the safety and security of our people,” he said. “They gave the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect others.”

There is no greater good deed than this, and he said the Officer’s sacrifice should never be forgotten.

“May their memory inspire us to serve with courage and compassion,” he said. “May the badge they wore with honor be a symbol of their dedication and service, may their legacy live on, through our continued commitment to justice, peace, and the protection of our communities. The Lord is for all, and in him we believe, and to him, we pray.”
