Oxnard--At approximately 9:24 p.m., Friday, January 19, officers from the Oxnard Special Enforcement Unit (Gang Unit) officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of A St. and Fifth St. During the contact; the officers learned the driver did not have a valid driver’s license, and the officers began removing the occupants from the vehicle.
ONE of the passengers, 29-year-old Gardena resident Devin Knapp, admitted to being in possession of a concealed handgun. Officers confiscated the handgun and took Knapp into custody for firearms violations.
