Oxnard passes Budget with $35 million surplus

Oxnard—The City of Oxnard is wrapping up its 2023-2024 Fiscal Year and approved its 2024-2025 Budget during its Monday, June 18 meeting.

THE Citywide Pro­posed Ex­pen­diture Bud­get is approximately $761.7 million, including the General Fund group: landscape maintenance and community facilities district funds, special revenue funds, assessment district funds, enterprise funds, and internal service funds.

The Housing Authority’s Budget (not part of the City All Funds total) is proposed at $42.2 million. The total budget appropriation amount will include transfers to capital projects amounting to $201.8 million. All Funds Revenues are proposed at $718.8 million.

The Budget includes projected revenues, expenditures, and available fund balances for the City’s six major funds, including the General Fund, Measure O (Half-Cent Sales Tax) Fund, Water Fund, Wastewater Fund, Golf Fund, and Environmental Resources (solid waste) Fund, as well as the eight modifications made since the Finance and Governance Committee on May 14, 2024.
