PARADE OF LIGHTS ILLUMINATE CHANNEL ISLANDS HARBOR

Channel Islands-- The 55th Annual Parade of Lights at Channel Islands Harbor was a colorful “Jingle Jingle” event that kicked off the holiday season in style.

EAUTIFULLY decorated boats filled the harbor as the crowd cheered the parade on as they celebrated the season.

Carol Loyd came down from Port Hueneme with her husband Dan and said she’s been enjoying the parade for the last five years.

“It has absolutely grown, and we enjoy this,” she said. “We’ve learned to layer.”

She and her husband are campers, so they brought their stove that had a big fire burning to stay warm.

“We’re not doing anything illegal, and we decided to bring it here and have a good time,” she said. “There’s one boat, it’s Tiki Boat that I like.”

Dan loves all the boats in the parade.

“I like how the little tiny boats are decorated too,” he said. “I have diet Coke and Ice Tea in my cooler.”

 
 

John Keener has lived at the harbor since 1968 and has seen many Parades of Light during that time.
