Percell accuses City of one-sided information

Oxnard—The CFD (Community Facilities District No. 5 ballot measure continues with Alicia Percell saying in comments after the Thursday, September 5, Community Conversation the City charges extra for services in Riverpark.

"THERE’S a reason the City did not want to address that question,” she said. “It’s not fair; Mr. (Steve) Howlett stood up there, gave his commitment to fairness, and treat all the neighborhoods the same until we pointed out that it’s not fair. These people pay double for that same service, and they (the City) closed the meeting.”

Percell said it’s what the City will not say and things they don’t want to acknowledge.

“The INCO had this subject a week or so ago, and I asked the same thing: how much does the General Fund pay for the basic level of maintenance in Riverpark,” she said. “They would not answer the question. The answer is zero, but they would not answer the question.”
