Oxnard-- The Public Works & Transportation Committee received the amended Public Works appropriations budget during its Tuesday, March 28 meeting.
THE action allows the City to collect $272,636 from insurance proceeds within the general fund for the Durley Park Concessions Building Repairs Project.
Public Works Administrative Manager Juanita Guzman presented the item and said the available fund balance of $75,000 from the general fund to the stormwater fund is for water-related expenses.
“The 2023 budget appropriations from the available fund balance is for an amount not to exceed $500,000 from the Complete Maintenance Fund for any unanticipated fuel increases through June 30, 2023,” she said.
The Public Works Department reviewed its Public Works Budget for 2022-2023 and wants to adjust the budget for funds for the Durley Park repairs claim, unrelated storm repairs costs in the Stormwater Division, and increases in fuel and compressed natural gas costs that will surpass the current budget allocation.
