Pumpkin Decorating is Interactive Cat Fun

Ventura-- Cassie’s Cats and Kittens got into the Halloween Spirit Saturday, October 14, as the non-profitCat Adoption Center and Lounge hosted a pumpkin decorating fundraiser that kids of all ages enjoyed.

FAMILIES came in ready to enjoy the interactive fun, while the Cats got involved and made the event a special treat.

Brian Sipes and Trinka Reynolds of CSMC Mortgage, Stephanie Conti, and the Vondriska family sponsored the fundraiser.

Cassie’s Cats and Kittens Founder Jennifer Thompson said Brian came up with the pumpkin decorating idea and reached out to the business community to get sponsors to offset the costs.

“There were a lot of things we had to buy for this,” Jennifer said. “We were able to do this, so Brian and Trinka worked with CSMC Mortgage who were generous sponsors. We had another woman, Stephanie Conti, who did a lot of handmade items, like hats and clothing; she sponsored it.”

 

Jennifer said Brian did most of the shopping for the fundraiser and came in early to help set everything up.
