Ventura—During its Tuesday, March 4, Special Planning Commission meeting, the body approved the Red Tail Multi-Family Land Development.
URBAN Advisory & Building Group Principal Brent Little and several developing and consulting teams said the project is an essential entry into the City as they laid out their planning.
“Red Tail Multi-Family Land Development is mixed-use, with an industrial general plan,” he said. “This is a compliant project”.
The red box, the project’s location, and the purple box just above is phase one that developed 20 years ago,” he said.
When Red Tail plans a project, it looks at the General Plan, Zoning, and policy statements to determine how to design the project. The important ones are nontraditional housing or houses for rent.
“Over 200 laws have been passed by the State to facilitate housing,” Little said. “The landscape has changed for all of us, but it provides a roadmap for certain SB330 projects,” he said. “The project has four main components: commercial at the corner, affordable housing in Victoria, central-core Market-Rate Housing, and the live/work along the park.”
