Resident Arrested for sexual abuse

Oxnard—The Oxnard Police Department, in coordination with the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office, has arrested Alyssa Carranza, 31 years old, in connection with criminal sexual acts involving a minor.

Carranza was originally arrested in 2023 for separate criminal sexual acts against minors spanning ten years.

Since then, detectives from the Family Protection Unit were able to identify another victim with a consistent account of abuse. In total, these criminal acts involved five victims ranging in age from 4 to 16 years old at the time of the offense. Known offenses have occurred between 2012 and 2022, and are believed to have taken place within Oxnard.

Carranza was taken into custody on September 10, 2025, and charged with an additional felony of conducting a lewd act upon a minor. She posted bond and was released. Carranza’s next court appearance is September 12, 2025.

Investigators continue to work diligently to determine if there are any other victims. If you have information regarding this case, please contact Detective Mary Panza at 805-385-7663 or by email at mary.panza@oxnardpd.org.
