Oxnard—The City Council, on Tuesday, September 3, approved the At Your Service Construction & Energy Contract for restroom improvements at College Estates Park.
THE agreement provides, $10,000 in additional contingency funds and has a not-to-exceed value of $429,980 for the restroom contingency project.
Civil Engineer Taylor Gambino presented the agreement and said the project includes removing the unusable bathroom structure at College Estates Park and replacing it with an Exceloo restroom unit.
“The City Council awarded the contract on February 4, 2025, and the contract value is $381,800, with an original contract amount of $38,180,” he said. “The project has experienced several circumstances where additional work is required.”
He said this is quite common work where older facilities that are beyond their life expectancy need to be replaced.
“The replacement of the collapsed sewer line, CCO#1, is $29,750,” he said. Pending CCO#2, the relocation of electrical service due to Southern California Edison (SCE) requirements is $14,500.”
Gambino said in the original design, the restroom panel was in the middle of the restroom structure.
