Seabridge Benches move forward

Oxnard--The Public Works and Transportation Committee approved a contract with Garcia’s Landscaping & Maintenance for Seabridge Park Bench installation during its Tuesday, March 26, meeting.

THE contract amoun­t is $12,650 to install park benches in Community Fa­cilities District (CFD) No. 4.

The Special Districts Division of the Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining, operating, and administering the City’s 50 Special Districts, including Community Facilities District No. 4.

Special Districts Manager Eric Storrie said each Special District has individual authorized services and improvements, including park landscapes, open spaces, parkway medians, other public improvements, and park amenities like picnic shelters, restrooms, arbors, and fountains.

“Properties within each District are assessed an annual parcel assessment for the purpose of maintaining these and other authorized services and improvements within their District,” he said.

The Seabridge Community Facilities District was established in 2004 to pay for the cost and expense of providing public services within the development, including the maintenance of parks, parkways, and open spaces, the dredging and remediation costs to maintain the adjacent waterways and public boat docks, costs incurred in the establishment and the levy of the special tax.
