Oxnard--The Finance and Governance Committee, Tuesday, May 21, approved the special tax rates within Community Facilities Districts (CFD) 1,2, District 4 at Seabridge at Mandalay Bay, CFD 5 at River Park, and 2000-3, the Oxnard Boulevard 101 Interchange.
THE item sets the 2023-2024 special tax rate for Community Facilities Districts (CFD) 1,2, District 4 at Seabridge at Mandalay Bay, CFD 5 at River Park, and 2000-3, the Oxnard Boulevard High 101 Interchange.
The action authorizes the Public Works Director or designee to execute billing for direct assessments with the Ventura County Auditor and Controller to provide service for placement of direct assessments on the Ventura County Secured Tax Roll.
The taxes fund maintenance services at the facilities and landscaping, streets, lighting, and drainage facilities.
Special Districts Manager Eric Storrie presented the item and said the CFD 1 Special Tax was created to levy a special tax sufficient to pay principal interest, other periodic costs, and the construction of Westport.
“The estimated maximum tax for CFD 1 is $975,295,” he said. “The Staff anticipates a special tax of $697,414. The remaining balance of the bonds is $5.733 million with final payment due September 21, 2033.”
