Stabbing victim hospitalized

Oxnard--At approximately 6:28 a.m., Wednesday, February 14, Oxnard Police Officers responded to the 300 block of South A Street about a report of a stabbing victim.

OFFICERS located the victim, a 58-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds in the torso who was transported to Ventura County Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery and was listed in critical condition.

Officers learned the stabbing occurred in the 100 block of Magnolia Ave.

During this incident, an uninvolved 45-year-old male contacted in the area was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Investigators from the Oxnard Police Department Violent Crimes Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation, which is ongoing, and no further information is available at this time.
