Channel Islands—The Annual Channel Islands Art Show rolled into the Harbor on Sunday, July 12, and although the weather was drizzly, it didn’t dampen the spirits of art lovers who came from all over.
ART lovers appreciated fine works of art, fabulous creations, and excellent photographs, all set against the amenities that the Harbor, such as dining and shopping, had to offer.
Joy Lomenick has been an artist her entire life, starting in the third grade.
“I won my first prize against Jim Weber,” she said. “I’ll see something in nature that inspires me, and use my imagination from there.”
She likes working with the many blues and purples the most.

Lucia Pasquinelli runs LU.PA Italian Design Jewelry uses her hands and tools to create treasures, and she came from Rome to live in Ojai.
“It takes a few hours to create a treasure, as she pointed to one creation,” she said. “I don’t have a machine that tells me, if I did, things could operate faster.”
