Sunny weather means happy shoppers

Channel Islands—A Little Bit of rain lifted on Sunday, Feb. 16, as the Channel Islands Farmers’ Market was bustling with customers overjoyed because the rain forecast was wrong.

FOLKS brought their Dogs, shopped for great stuff, and enjoyed the sunny day.

Alisa Wallace from T.Waves.com brought an assortment of teas to check out; she’s worked for the company for about two months.

“The first time I’ve ever drank tea was English-style in College,” she said. “I was never a coffee drinker; I am now. This tea is of great quality.”

She’s building her business and wanted a side gig. She’s a financial professional, and her friend convinced her to try it.

Bryce Hudson from Bear Valley Mushrooms brought an amazing display of mushrooms and drew a large crowd.

“I brought six varieties of mushrooms today,” he said. “I listened to a podcast in 2017 talking about their health benefits,” he said. “I got some Lion’s Mane Mushrooms and felt the difference.”

He said the chestnut mushrooms are the most popular flavor.

“They have a rich nutty flavor, and they’re good to cook and have a nice crunch,” he said.
