Oxnard--At 12:23 a.m., Monday, October 16, an Oxnard Police officer attempted to contact a subject on a bicycle in the 300 block of E Yucca Street.
The subject was initially uncooperative and failed to yield to the officer, and the subject was ultimately apprehended.
During a search of the subject, 19-year-old Oxnard resident David Acosta, a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun was located in his possession. Acosta was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm.
