On Tuesday, July 12, Oxnard Police officers responded to a subject slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 2200 block of East Gonzales Road.
Officers contacted the suspect, Anthony Torres, in the vehicle and observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, officers located methamphetamine, a deadly weapon, as well as a .22 caliber firearm. Torres, a convicted felon, was arrested for firearm and deadly weapon possession, as well as possession of a dangerous drug.
