Two IT agreements benefit Oxnard

Oxnard--The Finance & Governance Committee took steps to enhance recruitment on Tuesday, February 13, and approved an amendment with Hireclout Inc. Professional Services.

THE Committee also approved a third amendment with Kore1 Professional Services.

The Kore 1 agreement amendment extends its value through June 30, 2025, and totals $950,000.

Vendor services are needed to aid the Information Technology (IT) Department in finding qualified personnel to fill urgently needed vacant department positions to serve the needs of its residents and businesses.

Chief Information Officer Rob Rubin presented the agreement, which authorizes Mayor John Zaragoza to execute the first amendment to Hireclout Professional Services, extending its value to $850,000 through June 30, 2025, for Information Technology consulting and recruitment services.

The City is still experiencing challenges with hiring and retaining personnel, which he said is especially true for finding technology talent.

“The City and vendor entered into a $200,000 agreement (with Hireclout) in August 2023 for recruitment services of IT personnel,” Rubin said. “In the current fiscal year, the IT Department has been working on over 30 technology projects, including remediation efforts to address several key audit findings from prior years.”
