Vehicle collision claims life

Oxnard-- On Sunday, November 5, at approximately 2:22 a.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department responded to a call for service regarding a traffic collision involving a single vehicle into a palm tree on Oxnard Boulevard near Second Street.

OFFICERS located a white BMW occupied by a driver, later identified as Moises Aguilar Jr., who was extricated from the vehicle by Oxnard Fire Department personnel and transported to the Ventura County Medical Center.

Sadly, Aguilar succumbed to his injuries shortly after his arrival.

Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling southbound on Oxnard Boulevard at a high rate of speed just before the collision. It is also suspected there was one or more additional passengers inside the vehicle that fled before police arrival.
