Oxnard--In his report to the Council Tuesday, January 17, City Manager Alex Nguyen said the next community meeting about the water cost related to the drought in Oxnard is from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 23, at the River Ridge Golf Course Club Room.
THE course address is 2401 West Vineyard Avenue. Councilman Bert Perello asked if there was anything to report about the area’s recent rain storm that flooded roads, and Nguyen said there wasn’t any report available this week.
“That will be coming,” Nguyen said.
“We have the routine item of business regarding Assembly Bill 361 to allow us to hold meetings remotely when necessary,” he added. “I think this may be the last time we need to do this because the Governor, the last I checked, is still going to terminate the State’s Emergency Declaration at the end of February.”
City Attorney Stephen Fischer said the motion reauthorizes teleconference meetings of the legislative bodies of the City of Oxnard in accordance with Assembly Bill 361.
