Oxnard—The City Council received a report about 211 Ventura County during its Tuesday, March 17, meeting.
Interface 211 Community Information Associate Director Gerardo Gonzales presented the item and said Interface has been supporting residents over the past year.
“Interface Children and Family Services 211 Ventura County is a comprehensive information and referral service for Ventura County that connects community members to vital services.”
In 2026, Interface 211 celebrates 20 years of 211 services, making over 500,000 connections in Ventura County.
“We serve as a countywide information and referral hub linking residents to 2,000 health and human services resources,” he said. “In 2925, we received over 18,000 calls and texts Countywide, while our website welcomed 25,000 visitors.”
Each interaction, he said, someone finds their way to the services they need.
“Interface runs 30 programs spanning six core departments,” he said. “Our Domestic Violence and Child Abuse Prevention, Human Trafficking and Prevention & Intervention Justice Services, Mental Health and Trauma Treatment, Youth Crisis and Homeless Services. This broader network allows us to refer, and we can link callers directly to Interface Programs to suit their situation.”
