Ventura—As Antique Adventures rolls into February, it means an endless supply of cars, hot rods, classics, coffee, donuts, and plenty of camaraderie.
The shop is full of classic treasures, from wall to wall, but outside are the car buffs showing off the endless supply of classics, while the owners shake hands and tell their stories.
Jarek covered for Store co-owner Check Ackerman and didn’t have a Super Bowl preference.
“The Rams got close, but they didn’t make it,” he said. “I’m looking for a good game, and I’m covering the store for the next hour.”
He left his motorcycle at home.
“I’ve been riding it a lot recently,” he said. “I’m not doing anything to it right now, but I’m thinking about getting a project bike to tack on a little bit. I’m going to learn how to work on things, and that should be fun.”
Brice Daly lives in Ventura, and he brought his 1969 Corvette with a 350-horsepower engine, and said it’s coming around.

“It originally came with a four-speed, and now it has a 383 five-speed in it,” he said. “It has the original air conditioning, tilt steering wheel, and power windows.”
