Channel Islands—It was a bright, sunny, and windy day, on Sunday, April 26, as shoppers, bargain hunters, kids, Seniors, and everybody came out to the Channel Islands Farmers’ Market for unique treats sure to please everybody’s fancy.
THE venue was loaded with people enjoying the day, catching up with friends, getting in some healthy steps. and
Dee Neilson was shopping around with her Doggie, Gibson Les Paul.
“We’re just walking around socializing and getting him socialized, and I want to pick up a few items,” she said. “It’s a little windy, but it’s a gorgeous day. I love coming here every Sunday.”
She loves all animals.
“I feed spiders and put them back outside, so they don’t starve,” she said. “If they have feathers or scales, I don’t care.”
She came to buy apricots for her Desert Tortoise.
“They are his favorite,” she said. “He’s like 80 years old, but he’s registered and legal.”

At the end of the day, she has a nice agenda.
“I have a glass of wine with the ladies every day at 4 p.m.,” she said. “The whole neighborhood gets together with 10-12 Dogs.”
