Channel Islands-- Mrs. Olson’s Coffee Hut was the place to be Tuesday, February 16, as the Brave Coalition hosted a political forum and helped attendees gain information about issues leading up to the November mid-term election.
THE Brave Coalition (Businesses
Representing American Values and Enterprises) is a group of businesses that “came together to take a stand against the increasingly strict lockdown laws and restrictions placed on American businesses.”
The California School Choice Initiative attended the event and collected signatures aimed at helping the children.
Volunteer Sally Budd said the group is trying to give parents the opportunity to decide where their kids can go to school.
“The money that normally goes to the public school can follow them to wherever the parent chooses for the child to go to school,” she said. “It could be a private school, parochial school; it could be a trade school, it could be homeschooling.”
She was driven to action by the current state of the public school system.
