Channel Islands-- The British invaded Channel Islands Harbor Sunday, October 2, as the Central Coast British Car Club Show meant cool rides, all classically restored to their pristine beauty.
THE group returned with cars and their owners, who had many stories to share about taking care of a British car in the United States.
Central Coast British Car Club President Michael Gustafson said the club missed the 2020 show.
“In 2021, we moved it to October,” he said. “We used to have it in July, and now we’re keeping it in October because people tell me they like it better in October.”
The show features 155 cars, including Triumphs, MGs’, and Rolls Royces.
“We’ve got them all,” he said.
The show features around 4-5 right-hand drive cars, he said, and noted that people who love to drive British Cars wouldn’t let pain at the pump slow them down.
“People who love these cars are going to drive them,” he said. “We had 155 cars last year, and we’re right at the same number. We may beat that this year and be the biggest show we’ve had.”
