Ventura—During the February 17 meeting, City Manager Bill Ayub said the City recently celebrated the grand opening of the Cabrillo Use Path with a ribbon cutting.
“It’s near Saticoy Avenue in East Ventura,” he said. “This project is funded by $1.5 million in grants from Cal Trans and the Ventura County Transportation Commission.
This closed the final gap in a two-mile corridor, and he said it goes to the bank of the Santa Clara River.
“We’re thrilled to see safe expanded transportation opportunities,” he said.
The Community Development Department continues offering free housing workshops for tenants, property owners, and property managers,” he said. “Our next workshops are on March 26, April 16, and May 28, from 6-8 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall.”
Two workshops have taken place, and he said those recordings will be uploaded to the City’s website in the coming weeks.
“If you’re not able to make the session,” Ayub said. “These sessions provide practical information on rental rates, responsibilities, housing standards, communication tools, and local resources. Spanish interpretation will be provided, and anyone interested should visit cityofvenura.ca.gov/VCHC.”
