Christmas PARADE HIGHLIGHTS

Oxnard-- Residents lined the streets around Plaza Park, including A, Fifth, and C streets, Saturday, December 3, as the Annual Christmas Parade brought community groups, 71 of them, together to ring in the Holiday season.

THE event, hosted by the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation, celebrated its 2022 theme, A Blast of Christmas Past, featuring school and community bands, Equestrian Units, school groups, many floats, area car clubs, and more. Area residents reveled in the joy that the big man himself, Santa Claus, is coming on December 25 and headlined the Parade.

Parade participants worked the crowd while children happily accepted the candy and treats while cheering the event.

Randy Usuna had a front row seat to watch his daughter Viviana participate in the Parade.

“My Daughter is here with the Premiere Dance Studio,” he said. “This is her first Parade, and she just marched through. We come here every year, and it’s exciting to see our daughter in the Parade.”

 

Randy loves seeing all the local businesses and community members come together.
