City CAPER Report highlights Oxnard Housing Department

Oxnard-- The City Council held a public hearing, Tuesday, November 16, about its 2020-2021 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation (CAPER) Report.

Housing Director Emilio Ramirez receives three entitlement grants annually; the Community Development Block Grants (CDBG), the Home Investment Partnerships Act Grant, and the Emergency Solutions Grant, better known as CDBG Home and ESG.

"The city is required to submit a CAPER providing the year-end accomplishments based on the regional consolidated plan and a five-year plan laying out the gaps and needs of the region in subsequent annual action plans that established activities to support the regional plan," he said. "The CAPER was made available to the public for a 15-day review period beginning October 14 and ending November 2. It was published in the newspaper on October 14 in English and Spanish."

 

Because of Covid-19, the city received over $6 million in Cares Act funding.
