Oxnard —The City Council amended its Committee bylaws on Tuesday, April 1.
On the City Council, on November 13, 2018, Assistant City Manager Eric Sonstagard adopted the Ordinance and established five Committees: Finance & Governance, Public Works and Transportation, Public Safety, Housing & Economic Development, and Community Services.
On Tues, December 3, 2019, the Council adopted five Committees: Finance & Governance, Public Works & Transportation, Public Safety, Housing & Economic Development, and Community Services.
He said Rule 15, resignation, was relocated from 13 of the current bylaws.
“Rule 16, adoption and amendment of rules and procedures, was relocated from section 14 of the current bylaws and was revised to include the requirement that upon adoption or amendment of the bylaws by the Planning Commission, the bylaws shall be presented to the City Council for adoption.
Following approval by the Planning Commission, he said the City Attorney’s Office received the bylaws. As a result of the review, the staff recommends some minor cleanups that conflict with legal requirements, such as the Brown Act.
