Council approves actions affecting bridges

Oxnard-- The City Council, Tuesday, December 20, approved agreement 32300045 with GMZ Engineering and the first amendment to agreement A-8141 with Dokken Engineering for the Mandalay Bay and Edison Canal bridges starting in January 2023 through June.

City Engineer Tatiana Arnaout presented the video and said the agreement is for $5,587,808 in project funds and executes construction with GMZ Engineering for the Mandalay Bay and Edison Canal bridges.

The $660,000 contingency amount with GMZ Engi­neering places the agreement at no more than $5,067 for the projects.

“The first amendment to the agreement with Dokken Engi­neering increases the not to exceed amount from $201,914 to $293,494 for engineering services during the construction,” she said. “It authorizes the project allocation amount to $428,760 for project management, construction management, and inspection for these projects.” The $940,936 budget appropriation will come from the Capital Outlay Fund, fully funding Mandalay Bride Project.

“The action authorizes the Fi­nance Director or designee to recognize future grant fun­ding of $4,496,886 and approve an administrative bu­dget appropriation, tran­sfers of available balances between projects, for a total not to exceed $5,587,808,” she said.
