Oxnard--The Public Works & Transportation Committee will consider a new golf management agreement to update and replace the current expiring agreement.
THE city staff looks to negotiate a new agreement with American Golf Corporation (AGC) for River Ridge Golf Club operations.
Public Works Assistant Director Steve Howlett presented the agreement and said the City of Oxnard owns River Ridge Golf Club, a municipal golf course under the supervision of the public works department, consisting of two 18-hole golf courses currently operated under the contract with American Golf Corporation.
“AGC was awarded the management agreement on July 1, 2019, and expires June 30, 2024,” he said. “With the pending expiration of the American Golf contract, the staff has been identifying options for a new agreement with the vendor to operate the golf enterprise.”
Howlett said generally, two options are available for a third-party vendor to manage the golf operations: send out new proposals for all vendors to submit individual proposals or directly negotiate with the existing vendor based on certain criteria.
