Ventura--Voters jammed the ballĀot boxes across the County as the vote had 506,453 registered voters making a choice.
In the Ventura County Semi- Official final results, Measure A&B, designed to protect drinking water in the area, are trending no, with 50,565 voting yes on A, and 55,880 voters choosing no. Measure B has 49,743 voting yes and 55,727 voting no.
No supporters waged a campaign to say that Measures A & B would mean higher gas prices and greater dependence on foreign oil.
In the County Clerk and Recorder race, Former Oxnard City Clerk Michelle Ascension leads with 63,749 votes, followed by Jeff Hargleroad with 30,160 votes and Bruce Boyer with 3,966 votes.
In the District Attorney race, Erik Nasarenko leads John Barrick by a 58,499 to 41,554 margin.
For Ventura County Sherriff, Jim Fryhoff leads Bill Ayub 57,257 to 44,798.
For Treasurer-Tax Collector, Sue Horgan leads Ron Speakman 67,803 to 28,921.
In the 26th Congressional District, Julia Brownley leads Matt Jacobs 47,001 to 32,029.
For U.S. Senator, Alex Padilla is leading with 53,981 votes.
In State Assembly District 38, Steve Bennett leads over challenger Cole Brocado 31,076 to 17,800.
