Eadie + Payne amendment moves to Council

Oxnard--The Finance and Governance Committee approved the second amendment to its external auditor agreement with Eadie + Payne during its Tuesday, April 9 meeting.

The agreement increases the amount by $62,700 for a total amended not to exceed $1.158 million over five years for its fiscal year 2023-2024 Annual Comprehensive Reporting/ Single Audit-Ancillary Assistance.

Controller Cesar Perfecto presented the item to the Committee and said following a Request for Proposals in May 2020, the City entered into contract A-8223 with external auditing firm Eadie + Payne LLC to conduct the City’s audits for five fiscal years from 2019 through the fiscal year 2023-2024.

“In January 2024, the City executed the first amendment to agreement A-8223 with Eadie + Payne to cover additional fieldwork and testing needed to gain reasonable and testing needed to gain reasonable assurance of the newly implemented financial module, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and fiscal year 2023 financial statements,” he said. “The first amendment increased the fiscal year 2022-2023 audit amount by $22,000, from $216,100 to $236,100 for a total amount amended not to exceed amount over five years of $1,095 million.”
