EAGLES raise money for autistic children and infants

One check helps people living with Autism, and another benefits hospitalized premature infants and children.

THE group was out in full force for the event and continues to proudly make a difference in the community, which is the backbone of the Lodge.

Peggy Duske said she is happy, pleased, and privileged to raise money for such worthy organizations.

“We had two functions,” she said. “Walter Seymour, Connie Echevarria, and I hosted an Irish Dinner, and Miss Donna Rae sold tickets. We had baskets for spa days, some for Starbucks coffee, and for pets and children. You name it; we sold it.’

She said the money raised went to the Grand Office, which unofficially matched the cash, swelling the total from $1,700 to $5,000.

Echevarria said they held bake and cake sales to raise money for Alzheimer’s.
