Oxnard—The Fraternal Order of the Eagles continues its ongoing mission of people helping people on Sunday, February 15, as Grandma’s Crew spent the morning cooking breakfast for the hungry guests.
MADAME President Michele Two Coats led a staff of volunteers, and, as always, the kitchen was a whirlwind of activity.
Volunteer servers placed orders as Two Coats led the busy kitchen.
Lisa Fernandez collected the proceeds from the breakfast, but said she wasn’t taking a cut.
“It goes toward our team, the general fund, to pay the bills,” she said. “I do a little bit of everything. I serve, take orders, and take the money.”
Ron Legue enjoyed his eggs with ham and cheese.
“I come for breakfast almost every time,” he said. “You can’t beat the price.”
He’s been an Eagles member for the last seven years.
“My Dad was an Eagle,” he said. “My Dad is still a member, but he doesn’t do Breakfast.”
