Easter at Antique Adventures hops along

Ventura—Easter at Antique Adventures was a little rainy, but still drew a nice crowd of car buffs and enthusiasts on Sunday, April 12. There was great conversation, friendship, and plenty of coffee and donuts.

STORE owners Chuck and Nerrie Ackerman had the day off, so employees Jesse Guerro and Jarek were running and organizing all the fun.

“There aren’t as many donuts this morning, so everybody gets two today,” Jesse said.

Jarek said his work bike is going well. He started working on the fuel tank and is trying to get the rust out.

“I’ve ordered a fuel pump to replace the old one, that’s all gunched up there,” Jarek said. “It should be a working bike after that.”

He and his siblings didn’t have many Easter eggs once they grew up.

“We just hang out at home and have a lot of good food,” he said. “I’m working on one donut now, and I’m working on a second one.”

 

He’s been working on the good bike, a 2013, Honda Shadow, more than his work bike, a 2005 Suzuki Boulevard because the good bike is simple and doesn’t require much maintenance.
