Channel Islands-- The Channel Islands Farmers’ Market, which had a lack of vendors at the end of December, has roared back to life with huge crowds and lots of vendors selling items to the delight of the shoppers.
PEOPLE seemed to be celebrating the end of the mask mandate with cash and debits cards and made lots of purchases.
Gary Blum from the Oxnard Downtowners is happy the mask mandate is over.
“We’re still respectful of people who are wearing a mask and want to be careful,” he said. “We’re hoping the summer concerts come back at Heritage Square, and we’ve had discussions with the city staff about that. Nothing has been confirmed. The Salsa Festival Committee has been meeting to determine whether to come back with two days or one day. We’re still trying to figure that out. The First Thursday Gourmet Food Truck nights are coming back in April, and we know that for sure. We did November and December, and then we did a break for winter.”
