Oxnard-- The event didn’t have many vendors, but the Farmers’ Market at the Collection still featured plenty of great items and drew a nice-sized crowd on a sunny and warm Saturday, January 22.
SHOPPERS enjoyed handcrafted gifts that were made by the vendors who kept the Market alive because they love what they do and love interacting with the public.
Mahogani Guillen came to the Farmers’ Market with her family and buy some merchandise if something catches her eye.
“We’re looking to hang out and enjoy the weather,” she said.
Her dog, Toffee, came along to enjoy the day.
“This is his first time, and he’s behaving,” Mahogani said.
Sandra Guillen said they brought a guy along named Jesus, who was supposed to make sure they didn’t spend too much money.
“That’s why he’s here,” she said. “We were trying to see if there were some veggies around, but there are no veggies at all, so we are just walking around with the dog. The weather is really nice.”
Suzette Guillen said she came to the Farmers’ Market with no real plan of attack.
“I’m just here to be with Toffee for a little and see how he behaves,”…
