Gabe Teran unofficially retains District 2 seat

Oxnard-- Incumbent District 2 Councilman Gabe Teran has retained his seat with the Oxnard City Council.

The unofficial results have Teran receiving 883 votes, 30 at the polling place, and 853 via mail-in votes. The county must count the remaining mail-in ballots.

Challenger Tai Hartley received 616 votes, 25 at the polling place, and 616 via mail- in votes. Candidate Eduardo Q Huerta received five votes at the polling place and 113 mail-in votes, for a total of 118 votes.

Teran took office after being appointed by the City Council Gabe to serve the District 2 vacancy left by the election of Mayor Pro Tem Carmen Ramirez to Ventura County Supervisor.

Teran engaged the public and met constituents in locations throughout Oxnard, listening and then looking to help make the city better.
