Channel Islands - Beautiful lyrics and personal experiences made Natalie Gelman’s performance at the Concerts by the Sea series unforgettable.
GELMAN mixed songs and stories into a show with concertgoers grooving, which segued into a dance party full of fun and memories.
Michael Kuykendall and his better half Rebecca Rothman hadn’t yet heard Gelman perform but were excited to enjoy the show with their friends Jeannie and Alan.
“We love the sun and all the people,” Rothman said. “It’s a place I can hang with my dogs, Louie and Ella.”
Michael was visiting the concert venue for the first time and thinks it’s a great place.
“There’s beautiful weather today,” he said. “I’m looking forward to the music. We’ll see about dancing.”
Alan Rothman likes music from the 50s and 60s but noted that living in the area means coming to Channel Islands Harbor and seeing the Concerts by the Sea.
“I’m too old to dance, but I’m old enough to watch,” he said.
Carina Agopian heard Gelman play before when the concerts were held at Peninsula Park and enjoys the change of Channel Islands Harbor.
