Oxnard—The Ghouls and Goblins were loose at Plaza Park, on Saturday, October 25, as the Annual Haunt in the Park meant candy, costume contests, and a DJ who played scary themes throughout the night.
KIDS of all ages came dressed to scare, dressed as live video game characters, and, of course, as Freddy Krueger and a big, scary monster, to load up on candy.
Downtown Oxnard Improvement Director Able Magana said it’s their 10th Haunt in the Park.
“We took a year off during the pandemic, it would be our 11th,” he said. “We were in the frenzy of putting this event together, but I may have something.”
He said the stars of the night are the sponsors ready for the crowds of villains, ghosts, and superheroes at the trick-or-treat village.
The community supporters gave out candy, and in some cases, you had to work for it with games of skill,” he said. “We also have a couple of face-painting booths. Edith from Luxury Beauty Pro is here doing her thing.
