Ventura—On Tuesday, November 18, the City Council approved a professional services agreement with HDR Engineering for the design of groundwater equipment and pipeline.

Ventura Water General Manager Gina Dorrington and VenturaWaterPure Program Director Linda Sumansky presented the item.
Sumansky provided an overview of VenturaWaterPure Costs, the injection well equipment and pipeline design contract, next steps, and recommendations.
“How does this particular project fit into that?” she asked. “We’ll talk about the design of these two pieces.”
She does not have any updates or costs for the meeting.
“Of the funding that has been spent so far, the least amount spent has been towards the groundwater projects,” she said.
“The groundwater will take our purified water from our advanced plant, and will inject it into the groundwater basin, and we will be able to withdraw that water through our current extraction wells and return it to the City for potable use.”
